Many of the visitors to our office remark on the welcoming, friendly and calm atmosphere that they notice when they visit us. There is always a selection of teas, coffee, soft drinks and fresh fruit available for anyone who comes in to see us. We also try to use local providers where we can.
We pride ourselves on the high standard of care which clients are given as we believe that they are making significant choices and to look after our clients from the moment they arrive in our office is paramount. We have built relationships with numerous clients over many years and they have brought us in to be central to the decision making regarding their future and their financial choices. We fully appreciate that we are in a responsible and privileged position to build such close relationships with individuals and their families.
It was therefore with delight, that we were able to announce our selection as finalists in the Customer Care category of the Suffolk Business Awards in 2019.
Since our inception in 2010 we have had the privilege of working with many local, national and international charitable causes that we have been delighted to support. These range from low-key arrangements such as supporting two sisters to go to school in Liberia through to more high profile charitable activities such as completing sponsored runs and walks to raise money for good causes. A selection of our charitable work is shown below:
- Completing ten 10ks in 2014
- Raising funds for Homestart in the ‘Jail and Bail’ event in 2015
- Completing a marathon, raising funds for Teenage Cancer Trust, National Autistic Society and Prostate Cancer Research
- Raising funds for St Elizabeth Hospice across a variety of events, including: the 2016 Midnight Walk; sponsoring Suffolk Remembers in 2018 & 2019; participating in the annual festive Woolly Pully Day
- Raising funds for Suffolk Mind and Suffolk Age UK by walking the 15 mile London Monopoly Board in 2017
- Raising funds for local schools by sponsoring the 5K Alton Water Run for three consecutive years – with several team members also running!
We have also been proud sponsors of the Felixstowe Book Festival since it began seven years ago; upgrading our support to Gold Sponsor in 2019. Also sponsors of Westerfield Bowls Club and the wonderful landmark documentary Life on the Deben, we take a keen interest in local community groups and charitable projects.
The business, ‘Kingsfleet Wealth’ was named after Colin’s primary school and Colin has always felt that supporting local educational causes is of great importance as it is only because of our education, generally, but also specialist financial knowledge that we are in a position to advise our clients and enjoy the role that we have.
Consequently, the Kingsfleet Community Fund was established in order to support local educational causes and this is something that we have a pleasure in dedicating our time and resource towards and seeing funds raised being used for this purpose. In fact, when HRH The Earl of Wessex was welcomed by the Suffolk Community Foundation in 2018, he was introduced to Colin, in recognition of our Community Fund and our regularly involvement with local events to support our region’s education.
Finally our membership with the Trading For Good responsible business scheme, seeks to demonstrate the critical importance of business in providing greater good to the community than simply generating profit.
Reducing Energy Consumption
We consider the use of environmental resources to be very important and therefore we seek to offset our carbon costs by funding appropriately each year the planting of trees. Following an assessment by the Carbon Charter Panel earlier this year, we are delighted to have received approved accreditation at Silver Level, in recognition of our efforts to monitor and reduce our carbon emissions.
